"You don't know what you don't know"

The Affordable SA Program is a suite of services that provide information, increased knowledge and easy connection to access relevant services that will help to support you with the cost of living pressures.

With multiple access points facilitated by The Salvation Army, essential service information is available for free through the download of the Affordable SA App (available at the App Store and Google Play), www.affordablesa.com.au and through the Affordable SA Helpline 1800 025 539.

The helpline service is available from 9.30am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30am to 4.30pm Friday's (except holidays).

Charter of Affordability

The Charter of Affordability is a partnership between government and key organisations that many people deal with on a regular basis such as banks, energy companies, local government, and SA Water. All these services impact on the household budget.

Through the Charter, each organisation has agreed to six guiding principles that ensure people in financial hardship are treated with respect and compassion, and can access information to help them make important decisions. Each organisation has completed a fact sheet that provides information on financial assistance and a contact person.
