The StandBy Response Service provides crisis counselling, information and links to anyone who has been bereaved through suicide.

This includes families, friends, associates, witnesses, schools, workplaces, groups and individuals, emergency and community responders, and communities.

This service is FREE and provided for anyone who resides in Country SA and has been bereaved by suicide.

The service includes:

- the StandBy Coordinator, which is the entry point for the Suicide Coordinated Community Response Plan

- the StandBy Suicide Bereavement Response Service, which provides crisis counselling, information and links to further services

- the StandBy Crisis Response Team, which provides a 24 hour face to face outreach response via referral from Police, Ambulance, emergency and community services, and

- the the StandBy Referral Pathway, which provides early response and linkage to ongoing support.

You can be referred to the program through any support agency or you can self-refer.

The Crisis Response Team are not volunteers.

This service is funded by the Australian Government.
