People who live in a residential park or a caravan park may be eligible to receive the Cost of Living Concession.
The amount of the concession you will receive depends on your living arrangements, the utilities you pay for and your income or card type. For example from 1 July 2016:
- Residents who own their own dwelling and pay for water, sewerage and energy can get a concession of up to $510 per year, paid quarterly ($127.50 per quarter)
- Tenants who pay for water and energy can get a concession of up to $335 per year, paid quarterly ($83.75 per quarter).
No Emergency Services Levy (fixed property) concession is payable, as this levy is not normally charged to residents of residential parks.
