The Child Care Subsidy is the main way the government assists families with their child care fees. The Child Care Subsidy replaces the Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) and is a simpler system that is generally paid directly to the child care providers.
You may be eligible for Child Care Subsidy if you or your partner: care for your child at least 2 nights per fortnight, are liable for fees for care provided at an approved child care service and meet the residency rules.
Your child must also meet immunisation requirements and not be attending secondary school unless an exemption applies.
If your child attends secondary school, you may still be eligible if they need supervision.
If you’re doing less work, study or other recognised activity because of coronavirus (COVID-19), you can apply for extra CCS hours.
