The Child Care Subsidy is the main way the government assists families with their child care fees. Child Care Subsidy is paid directly to your child care provider to reduce the fees you pay.

You may be eligible if you or your partner: care for your child at least 2 nights per fortnight, are liable for fees for care provided at an approved child care service and meet the residency rules. Your child must also meet immunisation requirements and not be attending secondary school unless an exemption applies.

The Child Care Subsidy percentage you are entitled to depends on your family's income. If your family's income is less than $69,390 you may be eligible for up to 85% of your child care fees.

If you’re doing less work, study or other recognised activity because of coronavirus (COVID-19), you can apply for extra CCS hours.
