MOSH - Minimisation of Suicide Harm - Thebarton

6 November, 2017Health Care

MOSH is about creating opportunities for people to reach out for support in times of crisis, if they feel they are at risk of harming themselves or others, and those who are bereaved through suicide.

MOSH is about helping to create a sense of purpose for people, somewhere they can come to engage in activities that will link them to others in a similar situation rather than going through the traditional mental health system. Providing people with constructive tools to help each other or if needed connecting you with the right service, agency or charity if it is in your best interest.

  • Talk to one of our active listeners. Talk to someone without judgement. Talk to someone who cares.
  • Join in one of our activities; do some craft, read a book, have a cuppa, sit in the garden, complete a few pieces on the community jigsaw puzzle or bring something from home to do.
  • Join in a workshop or attend training

MOSH aims to break down the stigma surrounding mental illness and suicide and showing the community that you don’t have to be a professional to help people, you just need to be able to listen and know where to get help if needed.

No appointment necessary, just drop in or give us a call.
