Youth Outreach accommodation is located in the Inner North and North Eastern suburbs of Adelaide. Youth Outreach covers the Local Council area of Tea Tree Gully, Salisbury and part of Port Adelaide Enfield.
Accommodation and support is available to young single people, couples, sibling groups, and people with children. Clients are usually in receipt of the Independent Youth Allowance from Centrelink.
Waiting times for accommodation vary based on property size and suitability. Whilst residing in Transitional Accommodation the young people are required to pay rent and general living costs including utilities.
Essential facilities such as public transport, shopping, offices of the various Government departments and community resources are all within easy reach.
Young people can be referred to Youth Outreach by any current support agency, or by referring themselves. Following initial contact, appointments will be made to complete an intake and assessment, with ongoing support available to the young person whilst awaiting accommodation.
Youth Outreach is funded as part of the Inner North and North East Youth Homelessness Services, funded through the Department of Communities and Social Inclusion under National Affordable Housing Agreement (NAHA) and National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness (NPAH).
