RSL SA has launched a new initiative for the working-age veteran – RSL Active.

RSL Active encourages members of the Australian Defence Force, and those who have recently left, to be active in their communities.

Our brave men and women go from having a structured life to a completely new environment where there is limited understanding of them and their needs, which can expose them to certain vulnerabilities.

The RSL Active model will deliver a safe and welcoming environment for not only the veteran but also the veteran’s family. Camping trips, social outings and school holiday programs are part of our future plans.

RSL Active will assist men and women to connect with the community and transition back into civilian life.

RSL Active will include peer-to-peer support, career counselling, access to training and education programs, and pathways to employment.

RSL Active will also provide interested veterans with a pathway to the Invictus Games, an international sporting competition for wounded, injured and sick men and women who have served.
