Can you ever be truly financially ready for a natural disaster?
The Salvation Army Moneycare team explored this question when they created Planning for the Unplanned - a book filled with real stories from people who have survived natural disasters.
Everyone’s situation is unique.
Some things are outside of your control, and there are some things you can do NOW to get ready.
Getting financially ready for a natural disaster is not something you have to do alone. Moneycare has trained financial coaches who would love to support you on the journey of financial readiness. They will work with you on your goals for financial readiness, look at your options, and help connect you with a community of other support if you choose. The Moneycare team offers free workshops, either in person or online, and one-on-one support to guide you through this journey.
Free workshops are currently being offered for the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island, run by a qualified financial counsellor experienced in bushfire recovery.
Join this session to consider how you can get ready for a disaster.
