The Freebie Hour is an event where we simply give away stuff to help people out.
Most Sundays from 5.30pm. Check out their Facebook page for confirmation.
No need to show centreline or concession cards. Open to all. If you can use what we are giving away, you can take what you need.

Baptist Care SA's WestCare Centre, situated in Millers Court, Adelaide (just off Wright Street) offers a safe place to come for food, shelter, support, advocacy and referrals.
Our pantry is stocked with non-perishable food and household items, thanks to generous donors and Emergency Financial Assistance government grants. We provide more than 27,000 nutritious meals, along with more than 900 emergency relief parcels and close to 5000 bed nights.

Ground to Table community Lunch at The Hut Community Centre available on the first Tuesday of each month.
A free delicious two course meal featuring fresh seasonal produce.
A donation by those not in receipt of a Health Care Card would be appreciated
Community Lunches on the last Tuesday of each month from 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm.
Meals vary each month depending on the seasons e.g. winter time is more hearty food such as soups and casseroles where summer food may be pasta dishes, bbq and salads and occasional include a desert.
Vegetarian choice is usually available.
The ADRA Community Food Pantry is open every 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.
Foodbank supplies a huge list of agencies around the country with Fresh fruit and vegetables for provision to the needy and people struggling to make ends meet.
This food has been donated by the supermarkets and other suppliers.
Foodbank Pop Up Stores
Food Bank has its own refrigerated Vans and with their volunteers and partnering organisations they hold pop up stalls in locations of need. Go to the facebook page or website to find the latest.
School Breakfast Program
Help to provide healthy, nutritious food to children who turn up to school hungry, provide fruit bowls in classrooms and common areas for students to take home or consume, send food home to families in need, enable canteens to provide healthy snacks or fruit salad and much more. Foodbank SA delivers breakfast foods to schools FREE of charge in all regions of SA, and also provides food to other charities for their breakfast programs. Regional branches in Mount Gambier, Berri and Whyalla support their respective regions.
Community Food Hubs
Individuals are assessed by welfare partners who issue them with a voucher. This voucher allows them to access and shop at Foodhubs in Bowden, Elizabeth, Edwardstown and Mount Gambier. Foodbank SA also supports the community run Foodhub in Port Pirie.
Hungry for a home cooked meal? You are welcome to drop by to eat in or take away. Usually a 3 course meal.

Uniting Church Nurioopta
The Junction Community Centre provides a low cost 3 course meal on the last Friday of each month, during school term.
All welcome. 12.30 - 2.30pm.
The Junction Community Centre is a popular venue for people from our multicultural community attending various courses, classes, functions and parties.
The Food Barn offers a free and nutritious lunch for people in need. The lunch is cooked by volunteers and is available weekdays at 11:30am (excluding public holidays). Food Barn is a warm and friendly place where everyone is welcome.
