Disaster Recovery

SA Power Networks provides two key services to help customers manage electrical issues and stay informed about outages:

  1. Hazard Reporting Service: This service enables customers to report electrical hazards, such as fallen powerlines, damaged equipment, or other dangerous situations. Reports are submitted through an online form, allowing SA Power Networks to address potential risks quickly and maintain public safety.
  2. Power Outage Map and Alerts: SA Power Networks offers an interactive outage map that provides real-time updates on current outages, affected areas, and estimated restoration times. Customers can also sign up for free power outage alerts, which provide timely information via SMS or email about outages in their area. These alerts notify users when a power outage starts, the expected restoration time, and when the power has been restored. This service helps customers stay informed and plan accordingly during outages.

Both services aim to enhance safety and improve communication during electrical incidents.
