The Limestone Coast Domestic Violence Service is a specialised program delivered by Centacare Catholic Community Services that offers high-quality, client-focused domestic violence support in the South-East of South Australia. It helps women and children increase safety, access supported accommodation, and connects them with counselling, case management and other essential resources so they can move towards long-term safety and stability.

The Men's Referral Service is a national counselling, information and referral service supporting men who use violent or abusive behaviours to change their behaviour and keep families and communities safer.
The Men’s Referral Service offers confidential telephone and online support across Australia for men seeking to take responsibility for their use of violence and abuse. It provides respectful listening, information and links to local support services such as behaviour change programs, short-term counselling and other resources, and also assists family members, friends and professionals wanting to support men in changing their behaviour.
Services Include:
- National telephone and web-based counselling for men concerned about their violent or abusive behaviour.
- Information and referral to appropriate local services, including behaviour change programs and other supports.
- Support for family, friends or colleagues seeking advice on how to support men to change.
- Assistance for professionals seeking secondary consultation on working with men who use violence or family members affected by it.
- Linkage to short-term intervention options, including the Brief Intervention Service for additional counselling and support where appropriate.
MensLine Australia is a free telephone and online counselling service offering support for Australian men anywhere, anytime.
MensLine Australia offers free professional 24/7 telephone counselling support for men with concerns about family violence.
Supports include:
- 24/7 phone supports.
- Online and video chat supports.
Women’s Safety Services SA offers a specific service for women of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds who are in unsafe relationships. The Migrant Women’s Support program is responsive to culturally sensitive needs, conducts risk assessments, safety management, information, advocacy, and refers to, and engages with other relevant services.
The staff of the program are bilingual and bi-cultural and work in partnership with domestic violence services, and other service providers including interpreters. They have specialised knowledge about the complexity of domestic and family violence within culturally diverse communities.

CALD women are less likely to report violence, can experience more barriers in accessing support services, and are less likely to leave a family violence situation than other Australian women, due to the following factors:

Centacare provides support to women and children experiencing or fleeing family and domestic violence to ensure their safety. Our offices are located in Murray Bridge and Mount Barker, however, experienced workers provide outreach services and will travel anywhere within the Murray Mallee, Adelaide Hills and Coorong regions.
Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behaviour by a person within an intimate relationship who seeks to establish and maintain power and control over the other. This includes physical, psychological, emotional, verbal, sexual and financial abuse.

Red Cross Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Financial Assistance program supports people on temporary visas who are experiencing domestic and family violence.
The program is available to people:
- on temporary visas, or with uncertain visa status, who are living in Australia, and,
- experiencing family or domestic violence, and,
- experiencing financial hardship.
The program can help you with:
- payments of up to $5,000
- referral to a specialist FDV agency or other services
- support coordination for up to 3 months (upon assessment).
Applications for FDV Financial Assistance can only be made online.
Specialised Family Violence Service provides counselling and support for couples and families who are or have experienced family and domestic violence.
